Monaco was a side project (1995-2000) of New Order bassplayer Peter Hook, together with David Potts, the only remaining member of Revenge. Hook’s distinctive pulsating bass lines united New Order’s marriage of post-punk and pop, creating an identity so recognizable that these Monaco tracks can easily be mistaken for tracks by New Order.
